Your Period- What is Normal?
Your period- What is considered normal for a period and what is not?
I think that the period can be such a VALUABLE indicator of our own health. We can learn so much by just paying attention to the nuances of this shift. Some people even call it a vital sign and I have to agree! I also think there can be a lot of confusion around the period, specifically for what we consider normal. And that basically just comes down to poor information. So, let's be informed!
Here are some things that I would consider normal if I was working with a patient:
Consistency in the cycle timing! A regular occurring cycle that comes every 25-33 days
Moderate bleeding- not too heavy, not too light.
A relatively pain free cycle
Relatively few clots, and brightred colored blood
Some signs that there are imbalances at play can be painful periods, irregular cycles, heavy bleeding during the cycle, breakthrough bleeding or spotting midcycle, PMS signs, clots in the blood.
Empowerment and knowledge can be our superpower. Radically connecting with our bodies does not need to be radical, it should be the norm!Want to connect to your body and natural cycle? Book an appointment with me by clicking here.
