The Issue with Insurance

Healthcare is a frustrating subject. I'm tired of our systems in place, I'm tired how no one is receiving affordable care, and that health is dictated by income. It should not be this way.

My practice is extremely small and intentional. I simply cannot offer insurance acceptance in my acupuncture practice. That would greatly reduce my ability to actually see people, get paid a living wage (remember, the insurance company dictates payment scales), and I would need to drastically increase the amount of people I see in a day.

I do not want to shift my practice and intention to support the current system that we have in place.

That being said, I want this medicine to be accessible as possible! I can accept HSA or FSA cards in my practice, which often comes with high deductible insurance plans.

I also offer the ability to write superbills for folks! This means that I document everything we do on an official insurance reimbursement form and you submit this form on your own behalf. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may be reimbursed some or all of the cost of the appointment!

I hope that our health care will shift one day. I see it coming. Everyone deserves to have access to medicine and health support.
